Prevent student from reattempting quiz after passing using the ReattemptChecker plugin

Another entry in the Moodle plugins database brings you the ability to prevent your students from accessing the quiz after they have passed it.

ReattemptChecker is a quiz access rule that prevents students who passed a quiz from reattempting it.

How to use the ReattemptChecker plugin:

  • Install the plugin.
  • Go to to a quiz page.
  • Edit settings.
  • Scroll down to ‘Extra restrictions on attempts’ and put a value in the field labeled ‘To reattempt the quiz, require a GRADE less than’.
  • Please note that it is a GRADE and not a percentage.
  • Save settings.
  • When the student pass the quiz, the plugin will prevent any further attempts.
  • You can change the text appears to students by customizing the language in the ‘quiz_access_reattemptchecker’ language file. See language customization for more details.
