@Moodle Jobs: VLE Technician, PHP software developer, Technology Enhanced Learning Developer and Regional Sales Person

In the last one week many more jobs were posted in the Moodle Jobs database which caught my attention. These kind of jobs are posted by the Moodle community members which can be handful source of earning if you are a developer working with Moodle and they are offered in part-time, full time, contract, remote, online, onsite etc.

So, here are the postings this week:

  • VLE Technician – This key role will be responsible for the day today management of the College’s Virtual Learning Environment (moodle). In conjunction with academic and administration staff you will act as the contact for VLE queries from the students at CAW. You will also work closely with the members of the development team.Key tasks will include:
    • Monitoring daily tasks and anticipating issues.
    • Administrating the VLE, including the assisting with uploading of e-learning content.
    • Resolving any user access issues.
    • Arranging training and briefings on functionality of the VLE.

 

  • PHP Software Developer -Although you may not have all of the below, we would anticipate you meeting the majority of the following:
    • 3 to 5 years of experience with PHP development.
    • Experience with Moodle LMS development.
    • Familiarity with object-oriented programming.
    • Experience using PHP debugging tools.
    • Web development experience including HTML, Javascript/JQuery, and CSS.
    • Experience with Rest and XML RPC APIs.
    • Experience with data management in MySQL, Postgres or other databases.
    • Experience of ecommerce shopping cart development.
    • Experience developing shopping cart payment gateways.
    • Knowledge of compliance requirements in ecommerce, such as PCI.
    • Knowledge of e-learning related standards such as SCORM, IMS, etc.
    • Location: UK (ideally within commute of Bury St Edmunds. Home working is acceptable subject to regular office attendance).

  • Regional Sales PersonYour Qualifications – Required:
    • Professional sales experience is required
    • Proven track record of successful enterprise sales growth, preferably in educational software services
    • Demonstrated successful solutions selling
    • Demonstrated excellence in account management
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a sales growth plan
    • Demonstrated ability to grow sales with existing accounts and new accounts
    • Demonstrated excellent communication skills – verbal and written
    • Ability to work independently and productively from home
    • Able to travel up to 25%
    • Strong self-management – time management and organizational skills

    Your Qualifications – Desired:

    • E-learning background is not required, but sales experience in the education and training sector is preferred
    • Experience selling software solutions to large organizations
    • Domain expertise in e-learning is a plus
    • Working knowledge of Moodle is a distinct advantage
