First of all I would like to apologize to all my readers for not posting any article about the latest happenings in the Moodle World as I was quite busy in organizing the First MoodleMoot India 2016 which was finally conducted on 06 Feb 2016 in Hotel Crowne Plaza Delhi with participation by all the educational stakeholders across the country.
The event started with the keynote speech by Mr. Martin Dougiamas and concluded with the keynote speech from Ms. Michelle Chawla. In between a variety of speakers presented their case studies, development, experience with Moodle since last one decade. The speakers from vide variety of sectors like agriculture research institute, health & medical sector, developers, educators from different levels.
Ravi Murugesan has created a nice storify article to cover up the event which I would like to share with all my readers here – https://storify.com/RaviMurugesan/first-moodlemoot-in-india-mootin16
Few key takeaways as an organizer for me from the event are:
- Schedule has to be followed without any delays which creates a huge impact on the participants.
- There should be some time slot left open for discussion among the participants to have interaction with each other.
- The event can be increased into a 2 day event to include more practical activities and give time for Questions and Answers after the presentations.
If you have any more suggestions for improvement for the next MoodleMoot India, please post in the comments below.
