Moodle Users Association members have chosen the “My Course Dashboard” as the sole project during the first Project Development cycle Jan-July 2016, which will be funded by the MUA and incorporated in the next Moodle version by Moodle HQ.
In a recent announcement in Moodle Users Association forums, Nick Thompson – Chairman of the MUA committee, posted about the winning project after a close to the voting cycle for multiple projects. The top 5 voted projects are:
- My course – dashboard – 23563
- Allow custom course fields (extend course metadata) – 15285
- Lesson Improvements – 14581
- Combine “Enrolled Users” and “Participants” list – 11424
- Send Scheduled Messages – 5880
This project suggest a review/revamp of the “old” My course overview on the Dashboard pages in order to create a better and more visual overview for students on the course progress.
The project was proposed by Gemma Lesterhuis and the detailed documentation for the project is located in this google docs.
I am closely watching the progress of the My Course Dashboard project and eagerly waiting for its inclusion in Moodle 3.2.
