Check out this updated MOOdle SHell – MOOSH utility #Moodle @zabuch

Tomasz Muras, the author of the latest Moodle development book “Moodle 3.1 LTS modules development” has updated the MOOSH utility for Moodle with new commands and fixed bugs.

MOOSH is a command line tool for Moodle similar to Drush for Drupal which allows you to perform many administrative and other common tasks using command line.

You can download the latest 0.23 version of the MOOSH utility from the Moodle plugins database here. The new version of the MOOSH contains the following changes:

  • New command: generate-enrol
  • New command: file-dbcheck
  • New command: nagios-check
  • Four deprecated commands removed (course-bulk_unenrol_inactive_users, enrolleduser, course-enrolleduser, course-restoreexisting, user-getidbyname)
  • A bunch of bug fixes and improvements

About MOOSH Utility

For those who are not knowing about this amazing Moodle utility – The MOOSH utility allows you to easily debug/test some Moodle issue. It is meant to work nicely with Linux features like bash/zsh expansion. For example, to create 10 users, you just type:

% moosh user-create username{1..10}
