Cambridge University upgrades Moodle to 2.7

In a recent news, Cambridge University has posted about their schedule of upgrading their Moodle from 2.5 to LTS version Moodle 2.7 The upgrade is scheduled on the morning of Thursday 16 April.

According to the official news:

Moodle will be upgraded on the morning of Thursday 16 April.  The most significant changes are listed below.

    • A new look and feel that is clean and easy to use.

    • A responsive design that gives a better experience across a range of mobile devices.

    • The new Accessibility block will appear on every page, enabling fonts to be re-sized, alternative colour schemes to be chosen and giving access to the ATbar toolbar.

    • The editing icons for activities and resources have been updated to improve usability across all screen sizes.

    • There is a new text editor, Atto, built specificially for Moodle which improves accessibility and works across desktops, tablets and phones.

    • Activity completion can now be activated on a course-by-course basis and can be used by students to track their progress.
