Moodle HQ is looking for developers to join the Moodle HQ core development team. If you are a Moodle developer, who wants to work on varied and international projects, enjoy learning and being challenged, then this is the opportunity for you.

Currently, Moodle development team is operating from Perth, Australia and Barcelona, Spain. The current position seeks the candidate to work in either of the locations. However, remote workers will also be considered but earlier Moodle development experience will be required.

You will be involved in contributing to the future direction of the Moodle software by writing and reviewing high quality open source code. Also you will be triaging and raising attention to bugs and writing automated tests. You can also join in the community forums for advice and feedback.

What do you need to apply?

You need to have:

  • minimum 3 years programming experience in a medium to large scale development environment.
  • good knowledge of databases and SQL, HTML5, CSS, PHP, JavaScript and Ajax.
  • good knowledge of web application security, performance and scalability.
  • ability to organise your own workload to meet deadlines.
