Itamar Tzadok, the maintainer of the Dataform module set has released a new plugin named Restriction by dataform content which is basically an availability plugin and can be used to restrict user access to an activity or section based on content of a designated Dataform instance in the course. Prevent students from reattempting a quiz after achieving minimum grade

In the past week, one more nice plugin is submitted in the Moodle plugins database. This plugin named as “Pass grade quiz access rule” is basically a restriction plugins for the quiz module to prevent students from reattempting the quiz once they achieved the required minimum passing grade set by the teacher.

During the initial settings of the quiz, the teacher can enter a required grade which once achieved will result in no more further attempts i.e. it will restrict the quiz after achieving the minimum specified grade. Read More

Restrict module and section access based on user language

If you are teaching your course in multiple languages then you have to use the language filters to display your content according to the default language set by the students and also it is little a bit difficult to set the language filters.

Moodle 2.9 New Feature: “Time spent” as an activity completion condition
