Moodle has released the point releases of the currently supported Moodle versions i.e. Moodle 3.0.4, 2.9.6, 2.8.12 & 2.7.14 and the new versions are available for downlaod from the Moodle download site as well as the Github page of the Moodle project.
This release is the last release of Moodle 2.8 which was released in Nov 2014 and the previous LTS version of Moodle i.e. Moodle 2.7 will be supported for security fixes for another year. Similarly, Moodle 2.9 will be supported for security issues only after this release. Read More

UPDATE – Just now, Helen Foster has announced the commencement of QA testing from today onwards for a three week period as Moodle 3.1 is due for release in four weeks from now.
